The Eyes You Bring
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
This morning, notice what happens when you stop looking for something new. The same corner of your kitchen table, seen freshly. The same breath, counted as if for the first time. Proust knew that transformation lives not in arrival but in attention; the world stays still while we learn to see it. Your eyes change. That is the voyage. Not chasing elsewhere. Arriving where you already are.
Question for today
What ordinary thing could you see as though you had never seen it before?
Practice
Choose one object you see every day. Look at it for thirty seconds without naming it. Notice only shape, light, texture. See what becomes visible when you stop knowing what it is.
