The Field Before Judgment
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there.
The field is not some distant place we earn access to. It exists right here, in the space between the thought that arises and the story we tell about it. This morning, notice what happens when you watch a worry appear without immediately labeling it as bad, or a small joy without rushing to claim it as good. The field is the gap where we stop narrating and simply see. It takes no effort to arrive there, only permission to pause.
Question for today
What would change if you met yourself with the same neutrality you might offer a stranger?
Practice
Notice one thought today without naming it as good or bad; simply observe it pass, the way you might watch a cloud move across the sky.
