The Earth Keeps Its Own Records
In every outthrust headland, in every curving beach, in every grain of sand there is the story of the earth.
The earth does not ask us to understand it all at once. A single grain of sand holds geological time, pressure, patience. When we look at what is already here, we are not discovering something new; we are learning to read what was always legible. The shore teaches this: nothing is lost, only transformed. Attention itself becomes a form of reverence, not because we decide it should, but because the ground beneath our feet demands it.
Question for today
What one small thing near you carries a longer story than you usually notice?
Practice
Pick up one small object outside. Hold it. Name one way it got here, one way it will change.
