Taste Before You Think
The world is not with us enough. O taste and see.
Most mornings we arrive already finished with the day. The mind is a closed door. But taste requires you to stop filtering. A sip of coffee on your tongue, salt air, the specific texture of breath entering your nostrils, the weight of your feet on ground. These are not poetic moments. They are the world showing up as itself, asking nothing except that you meet it without naming it first.
Question for today
What is one sensation you can notice before you explain it?
Practice
Place your palm on your chest and feel three complete breaths moving through your body without commentary. Notice temperature, texture, where the sensation lives.
