One Sip at the Center
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole earth revolves.
Reverence is not a feeling you wait for. It is the decision to keep your hand on the warm cup a moment longer before lifting it. It is noticing the weight shift as the cup empties, the small heat moving into your palm, the swallow you usually skip past. Nothing else needs to stop. The day will still arrive with its lists. But this one sip can be complete, and finished, and yours.
Question for today
What would change if you let one ordinary task this morning be the whole point?
Practice
Hold your cup in both hands, take three slow sips, and set it down fully between each one, noticing the warmth before you lift again.
