There is a moment in tide counting when you forget the number. Your attention scatters. Most of us grip tighter then, forcing the count to start again. But what if the forgetting is the point? What if release looks less like surrender and more like noticing what arrives when you stop holding so hard. The mind, like tired hands, eventually unclenches.
