Accepting Each Minute As It Arrives
The only way to live is by accepting each minute as an unrepeatable miracle.
The miracle is not a flash of light. It is the simple weight of the air in the room, the way light rests on the floor. It is the cool rim of a cup against your lip before the first sip. This minute is a complete thing, with its own texture and temperature. To let it be, without rushing to the next, is the whole work. This moment, exactly as it is, will not be repeated.
Question for today
What is one small, ordinary thing you can notice today that you usually overlook?
Practice
Look out the nearest window and find the one line where two things meet, like roof and sky, and watch it for sixty full seconds.
