Carried by What Comes
I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding.
A river doesn't negotiate with the ground beneath it. It moves because the terrain asks it to move. We spend so much time choosing our direction, testing the path ahead. But notice what happens when you stop deciding and start responding. The river teaches something older than preference: how to be alert, how to bend without breaking, how to let the next moment show you what you're actually made of.
Question for today
What would change if you treated this morning as something to respond to, rather than something to control?
Practice
Step outside for one minute without a plan. Feel the air temperature on your skin. Notice one way your body adjusts without your permission.
