This Moment, Then the Next
Forever is composed of nows.
A now is not eternal. It is small, ordinary, bordered by what came before and what comes after. Right now you are reading. Your breath moves. A sound reaches you from somewhere. This is the architecture of forever, not the grandeur of it. The day ahead will be made of nows too, each one complete in itself, asking nothing of the one that follows. You need not earn the next moment by perfecting this one.
Question for today
What am I actually doing right now, before worry about what comes next?
Practice
Take three slow steps and notice one physical sensation, temperature, or texture beneath your feet or on your skin.
