Each Step, Awake
Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.
The earth does not need our reverence. It needs our attention. When you walk with care, you notice what is actually under your feet: the grain of pavement, the give of grass, the weight of your own body settling and rising. This is not poetry. It is the discipline of presence. Most of us float above the ground, thinking elsewhere. To walk as if kissing means to arrive where you already are, with each step a small acknowledgment that you are here, supported, touching down.
Question for today
What would change if you felt the ground meeting you, rather than you crossing it?
Practice
Before walking anywhere today, pause and feel both feet. Notice the contact. Then take five slow steps, feeling the earth receive each one.
