Love the Questions Themselves
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.
Most of us treat uncertainty like a problem to solve before breakfast. We push at it, name it, try to make it sensible. Rilke suggests something quieter: that the question itself, sitting there unanswered, is not a failure of understanding but a form of presence. Patience here means stop rushing past the not-knowing. It means noticing what the question teaches you simply by being asked. This is harder than any answer.
Question for today
What question have you been trying to resolve, and what if you stopped trying to fix it?
Practice
Sit with one thing you do not understand about yourself or your day. Name it once, clearly. Then breathe three times without reaching for a solution.
