Ideas Have No Return
The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size.
Once you notice something true, the noticing stays. A small shift in how you see the ordinary. Not dramatic. Just this: yesterday you walked the same path without seeing the particular slant of light on wet sand. Today you do. Your eye catches it. The mind doesn't shrink back to blindness. It has tasted specificity. Expansion isn't loud or triumphant. It's the quiet fact of having paid attention once, and now you cannot fully unpay it.
Question for today
What small true thing did you notice this week that you cannot now ignore?
Practice
Name one assumption you held yesterday that doesn't quite fit anymore. Say it aloud or write it. One sentence. No explanation needed.
