Clarity Asks for Still Water
The mind is like water. When it's turbulent, it's difficult to see. When it's calm, everything becomes clear.
Turbulence is not the problem. The problem is expecting to see through it. Most mornings arrive loud with small urgencies, the mind already moving. But clarity does not come from forcing stillness; it comes from noticing what happens when you stop fighting the surface. A glass of water left on the table settles on its own. What you see depends entirely on your patience with that waiting.
Question for today
What are you trying to see that your current pace won't let you see?
Practice
Before breakfast, exhale for a count of six, inhale for three. Repeat eight times. Notice what settles.
