The Slope We're On
The rising hills, the slopes, of statistics lie before us. The steep climb of everything, going up, up, as we all go down.
Snyder tells us something plain: we live inside contradiction. Numbers climb. Graphs ascend. We age. The body descends. There is no resolution here, no comfort in choosing a side. The morning asks us to see both at once, without turning away from either. To notice the rise and the fall in a single breath. This is not pessimism. It is the texture of being alive right now.
Question for today
What are you climbing toward, and what are you willing to release?
Practice
Sit for three minutes. With each exhale, say one thing you're letting go of today. Name it plainly.
