The Pace of Presence

Smile, breathe and go slowly.

Sunrise No. 146

Slowness is not about time. It is about permission. When you breathe deliberately, you are not fighting the day; you are meeting it on terms that allow you to notice. A smile, even small, interrupts the default hurry. Not positive thinking. Simply a small muscle shift that says: I am here, not somewhere else. Going slowly means your hands know what they are holding. Your ears catch the actual sound, not the idea of sound.

Question for today

What would change if you did one ordinary task this morning as if you had time for it?

Practice

Before you speak to anyone, take three full breaths and notice the air moving in and out, nothing more.
