A Pace You Keep Choosing
O snail, climb Mount Fuji, but slowly, slowly!
Patience is rarely a feeling. More often it is a pace you choose and then keep choosing, one small step after another. The mountain does not shrink because you hurry; it only becomes something you survive instead of something you climb. This morning, patience might look like finishing one breath before starting the next task, letting the exhale run longer than the inhale, arriving at the day instead of being thrown into it.
Question for today
What are you rushing toward today that would arrive just as surely at a slower pace?
Practice
Breathe in for four counts, hold for seven, and exhale for eight, three times, before you answer your first message of the day.
