Let the Good Thing Stay Whole
Joy is not made to be a crumb.
Most of us take joy the way we take a free sample: one bite, a polite nod, then back to the list. The habit is quiet and well practiced. Attention this morning might look like noticing the first good thing, a warm cup or a sentence that lands, and refusing to hurry past it. Let it stay for one full breath, then another. Joy grows when it is given room to sit down.
Question for today
What good thing did you shrink this week because it felt like too much to hold?
Practice
Breathe in for four counts, hold for seven, and exhale for eight while resting your attention on one small pleasure, then repeat three more times.
