What Waits Beneath the Moving Water
The heart of man is very much like the sea, it has its storms, it has its tides and in its depths it has its pearls too.
A mood arrives the way a wave does, already moving before you notice it. You do not have to stop it or name its cause. Try only to feel where it rises: the jaw, the chest, the hands around a cup. Then wait. Something steadier sits under the surface motion, slow and unbothered. Patience here is not endurance. It is simply staying long enough for the water to clear and show you what was always there.
Question for today
What feeling is moving through you this morning, and what lies quietly beneath it?
Practice
Place one hand on your chest, breathe slowly ten times, and on each exhale notice whether the feeling underneath has shifted, softened, or stayed.
